#64 Iguan (Steel)

Iguan is resurrected from a Tooth Fossil. It evolves starting at level 38. It evolves into Iguantam when it was resurrected at the Fossil Research Center and into Iguarmor when it was resurrected at the Military Laboratory.

Biology

Iguan was one of the first Pokémon to be resurrected by scientists. But when they were first resurrected fossil research was less developped than it is now and there was a lot of debate how Iguan should be resurrected. At the end this led to Iguan being able to evolve differently depending on the way it was resurrected.

The steel plates on its head and leg were most likely used to make it easier to spot each other. The light that would relflect on its head would warn Iguan that other Iguan were getting near. Nowadays sometimes it's wrongly thought that these plates are made of gold, which has led to Iguan being very popular with rich people.
